Topic: What Does Being a Girl Mean To You?

  1. This is a tough one. On some days being a girl means great things, on others not so much.

Last night I was on a web site that tells you what kind of salary to expect based on certain factors (geography, position sought, educational background, race, gender, etc). It turns out that being a "girl" is going to cost me thousands each year. I've always known that men make more money, but seeing the hard numbers really hit home.

On the other hand, I have more shopping options than many boys. It just sucks that I'll have less money to spend because of my gender.

  2. To support your study of our psycho sex....here goes. When asked what being a woman means...it makes me think of the difference between the sexes and/or the transition from girl to womanhood. As a strong, independent, crass, and amazing female...it means not needing men, just allowing them to be in my life. It means knowing myself inside and out, and accepting the responsibilities that come with the ability to reproduce...thereby continuing our race. It means accepting that we are the creators of the "home" and the maintainers of "daily life." It means a depth of emotions and thought....and a desire to connect with others and an awareness that the power/needs of many outweigh the power/needs of one. It means knowing when to play the submissive role to be in the dominant postition. There are many reasons that a woman can never be defined or "figured out" ...and that we are the "smarter" sex ....we carry the burden of exsistence.

  3. It means.... we carry the kid while your ass goes out then sleeps all night! It means you have more problems to deal with then men do, they have it so good!
